Helpful & Easy Ways to Decrease Stress

We’ve all been there, feeling a bit overwhelmed and stressed with everyday life or with a specific event that is coming up. There are many ways that we work to overcome these emotions. Some people workout or have a specific hobby that helps them to decrease their stress, and sometimes things just don’t seem to help at all. Did you know that there are many herbs and natural ways to reduce feelings of stress? These are easy and healthy ways to combat those overwhelming feelings and get yourself back to your best self.

Chamomile

A warm cup of chamomile tea can do wonders to aid feelings of anxiety or stress. Chamomile has been known to help with relaxation, depression, anxiety, and even insomnia. You can also get chamomile in a supplement form to give your body this boost without having to drink it in tea form.

Lavender

Lavender is one of the most common herbs to help with combating anxiety and stress. It is beneficial to sleep, anxiety, and even your overall mood. Many sleep and de-stress room sprays or even essential oil mixes have lavender in them. You can try out the benefits in a wide area of things:

  • Add Lavender Essential Oils to a Diffuser.
  • Put a few drops in your bath.
  • Use a dried bundle to bring the scent of lavender to a room.

Exercise

You don’t necessarily need to be lifting weights or running excessively in order to get a workout good enough to relieve stress. Try out a nice walk around your neighborhood or yoga! Here are a few easy yoga poses that anyone can do:

When you have the tools to manage your stress, you will feel a weight lift off your shoulders. Figure out what your go-to reliever is when you find yourself in a stressful situation and take steps to learn more about what triggers your anxious or stressed feelings. When you learn what your triggers are, you will be ready to fight them and help yourself to relax as quickly as possible.
